Local Author Nicole Miller Visits

Students at KKPS were very privileged in having a personal reading of the book ‘Celia Seagull and the Plastic Sea’ by local author Nicole Miller.

Classes got the chance to sit down and hear what inspired Nicole to write this book, explore and discuss ways in which we can help look after our oceans by making small changes and the impact of her books theme on children today. It was also a great opportunity for students to ask questions about the process of writing a book; from start to finish, find out where Nicole gets her inspiration from, where she enjoys writing, what she loves about being an author and discuss what her next writing goals are.
